Self-esteem and Identity
Yes, today we speak again of self-esteem and confidence. You have to understand that they are the basis to reach a successful lifestyle.
You have a very specific identity that has been built through the years by people you’ve met, places you’ve been, experiences you’ve done. But is this identity the best one for you and your goals? Of course not, because we can’t master it, it’s an identity that put limits at out lifestyles and little by little wear us out.
Today you can choose freely who you want to be. Make a prototype of the person you want to become, create in your mind a visual and sensorial representation of it. Give it the confidence, the passion, the love, the happiness you’d like to have. Start right now living like him/her, don’t wait anymore. Bring on the challenges of life and face them with your new identity full of self esteem.
Look into yourselves and find which your main values are. Put confidence and self esteem them: act always knowing what you want, focus on your goal and keep moving in that direction. Destiny doesn’t happen, YOU choose it.
Simplify your rules: make easier to satisfy your values and make harder to break them. In example, if your idea of love consists in your partner making all you want while singing ‘I love you’, well, then you will be disappointed expecting so much from your relationships. But, since you can always change your view on every aspect of life, simplify your rules!
You could consider satisfied your love value everytime you are warm-hearted with someone, or everytime you see someone happy. This way you could live a life full of love and avoid a lot of frustrations.
P.S.= in case you were wondering, no, it doesn’t work that way with money. You can never be satisfied with money. Money is never enough. Greed is good, gotcha?
Web Marketing and Self Esteem
One of the main rule to be a successful web marketer is to have a good self esteem.
Firstable, bear in mind that no one except you can change what you feel inside, because your destiny depends on your decisions and much less on external conditions. In fact, your inner representation of reality doesn’t portray the exact reality, it’s only a representation filtered by your believes and values. So, you can choose to use this interpretation for your benefit, to make your life happier.
Using just the power of will, you can change your life in any istant, get rid of your limits in a second. Focus on your goals and build in your mind a visual, auditory and sensorial portray of yourselves. Give him/her all the confidence, faith, passion, love, happiness you’d like to have, live his/her feelings, listen his/her determined words, notice the calm look and the relaxed breathing.
Simplify his/her rules. Make easier to satisfy his/her values and make harder to broke ‘em. Feel his/her power. And start right now to live like that person, that is nothing else than an inner part of you.
Bring on the challenges of life, overcome ‘em with your new identity, with your confidence, with your self-esteem. Focus on how you would like to feel and how you will feel when you will have beaten the challenges. This is the positive mood that can make you overcome any past, present, future obstacle. Build an alternative for you painful memories, relive them with your new resources modifying the negative perceptions.
Estabilish your goals, believe in what you do, be sensible, ambitious and determined, think big and be very optimistic. Feel always sure to be able to reach your goals and win any challenge. Failures don’t exist: every experience in life helps your personal growth and the creation of a benchmark for future reference. Negative emotions are just stimulus to reach your goal.
Have faith in words and communication: the form doesn’t matter, it’s all about the content, the idea you want to express, the result you want to obtain.
Make new experiences, follow adventure, travel, meet new people, strenghten your abilities to improve every day the quality of your life: sky is the limit, because only you are the creator of your destiny!
Er, uhh…wasn’t this supposed to be about web marketing? Oh well, screw web marketing techniques for once. I think I’ll go to the beach to stare at the sun setting on the sea.
Web Marketing Strategy: Evocative Question
What are evocative questions? An evocative question is one that catch the interest of
the interlocutor and draw her/him into the proposal of the speaker. Nothing better for an effective web marketing strategy.
If I would ask you “Are you ever been REALLY satisfied by a purchase?” and you were in front of me, I’d understand immediatly the answer by simply looking at your face expression. There’s no need to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’, because the answer is already there, brain answers istantly, it’s already processing a specific kind of information. In other words, with the evocative question you bring the potential customer to re-live that positive mood and so he immediatly feels a sensation of satisfaction.
Why should we be interested in doing evocative questions like that one? Simply: to evoke a positive mood that the customer will associate with us or our products. No wonder that the evocative questions are often used by good communicators (of course, including well-known web marketing gurus) to make people emphatize with a particular situation.
If you take a look at cruises advertisement, you are going to find expression like these: “Has any of your dreams ever come true? Have you ever been in an extraordinary place?”. In a nutshell, they try to make you think immediatly to the vacation you always dreamed of. Think also to the applications of this technique with seduction. “How do you feel when you are in love? Have you ever been in love at first sight? You know when you look your love in the eyes and it feels like you are being carried in another dimension?”.
So, the evocative questions should be set-up with sentences like these: “Have you ever…?”, “You know when…?”, “Can you recall…?” or “Do you remember…?”.
It belongs to evocative communication also the in-depth questions. Again, they help to evoke moods and they should be used when you’ve already got a positive answer to a precedent evocative question, to dig deeply. In-depth questions sound like this: “And how do you feel when you are satisfied?” or “Do you feel good when you feel satisfied?”.
In the end, the more you gently try to explore in-depth this pleasant feeling of your potential customers, the more they will be positive impressed by you. And the more your web marketing strategy will reward yourselves with some nice sales.
Rule #1 of Webmarketing: MOTIVATION
If you want to earn in the Internet, to build a user-friendly site is the answer; you have to use the web-marketing rules to make the site fascinating and not only informative, that’s the key to sell something.
Actually we websurf the net looking for info about products or other things, but is this enough to convince us to buy them? Of course not, so anything you want to sell in the Internet must in first place MOTIVATE the potential customer.
Web-marketing isn’t that different from the traditional marketing from this perspective, motivating customer is the basis, the starting point.
Probably you’ll be thinking that it isn’t something new, that you already know that. Then, all the more so should know that huge sites that hire experts of webmarketing. Nevertheless, if you take a look at some very well-known e-commerce sites, it’s hard to find one that tries to motivate you (the exception being sites that sell e-book and electronic stuff like that - i.e. Clickbank).
Take Amazon.com: yeah, it’s the number one site for the electronic commerce, it’s very well done and very user friendly, but it doesn’t motivate you to buy. Often you won’t find more than two sentences about the contents of the book and ZERO motivation toward buying, so the customer doesn’t really understand the benefits of buying that specific object. Motivation totally lacks here, we have only the informational part.
And so in situation like those it’s not that uncommon to lose potential customers just when would be sufficient few right words to complete the deal.
In the end, the #1 rule of webmarketing is motivation, and we can achieve this convincing the customers of the benefits consequent to their purchase.
